    About Us

    Who we are…

    Morton Brody Law’s principal solicitor is Ashleigh Morton.

    Ashleigh has lived all her life in Falkirk. She attended Falkirk High School. Ashleigh graduated from Stirling University in 2011 after 7 years completing a BA(HONS) in business law and Spanish and the accelerated LLB with Merit. She completed the Diploma in Legal Practice in 2012.

     

    After completing her Diploma, Ashleigh undertook her traineeship at a prominent firm of solicitors in Falkirk where she made regular appearances at Falkirk & Alloa Sheriff Courts. Thereafter, she spent over 5½ years with two well established firms in Dunfermline.

     

    Morton Brody Law opened its doors in November 2020 and covers a wide range of Family Law. Ashleigh makes regular appearances in Falkirk, Alloa and Stirling Sheriff Courts. Ashleigh is also a Child Welfare Reporter and an accredited Family Law Mediator.

    Ashleigh deals with all aspects of child and family law including divorce, separation, contact, residence, cohabitee claims and children’s hearing cases.

     

    Ashleigh has also been appointed a child welfare reporter in Dunfermline, Falkirk and Alloa Sheriff Courts.

     

    Ashleigh has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Family Law Mediator.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do you offer a free meeting?

    No, our meetings are chargeable at our usual hourly rate of £250 plus VAT.

    Do you offer legal aid?

    We only offer legal aid in respect to Court actions in contact and residence cases to those who are eligible. We do not offer legal aid for any other work.

    Do you offer a fixed fee for work?

    Yes, we can offer a fixed fee for certain work such as certain minutes of Agreement and certain Divorce actions. Please telephone 01324 374374 to discuss in more detail.

    What is your hourly rate?

    Our hourly rate is £250 plus VAT.

    Will my appointment with a solicitor be face to face?

    We do not offer any face to face appointments unless as part of your case we require you to sign something in which case an appointment will be arranged for you to attend the Falkirk Business Hub. Your appointments with your solicitor will be conducted by telephone only.
